Your Privacy,
Our Core Commitment

At Aurgo Technologies, S.R.L., we design our platform around data integrity and user control. This policy explains how we collect, process, and secure personal information for all riders, drivers, merchants, and partners.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information across all stakeholder profiles to ensure platform security and service quality. This includes: (a) Riders: Name, email, phone number, profile photo, and credit/debit card tokenized IDs; (b) Driver Partners: Driver's license, Cedula/Passport, vehicle registration (matrícula), passenger insurance certificate, background check filings, and bank account numbers; (c) Merchants: Business name, tax registration (RNC), menu/product lists, and store coordinates; (d) Corporate Clients: Corporate RNC, billing details, and employee list rosters authorized for billing.

2. Real-Time Location Telemetry

Aurgo collects precise geographical location data (GPS coordinates) to operate. For Riders, location is tracked in the foreground when the app is active to locate pickup points. For Driver Partners, location is tracked persistently in both the foreground and background when their status is 'online' to calculate ETAs and dispatch requests. For Logistics/Merchants, coordinates are collected to track active shipping and delivery routes. You can control location permission settings on your device, but disabling it will prevent booking or receiving requests.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use data to: (a) match riders with nearby driver partners; (b) facilitate logistics shipments for merchants; (c) authorize and process credit card transactions securely; (d) reconcile accounting ledgers and generate Número de Comprobante Fiscal (NCF) invoices; (e) perform identity verification and driver compliance checks; (f) resolve disputes or customer support tickets; (g) protect users from high-tech crimes and fraud.

4. Compliance with Dominican Legislation

Aurgo strictly complies with Dominican Republic Law 172-13 on the Protection of Personal Data and Law 53-07 on High-Tech Crimes. All user database records—specifically including driver KYC files and corporate banking information—are protected by strict database level Row Level Security (RLS) policies. Access to server administration tools requires multi-factor authentication (MFA).

5. Safe Payment Processing

Aurgo adheres to PCI DSS standards. Credit and debit card tokenization is handled directly by our certified payment processor (AZUL Dominican Republic). Raw card parameters (CVV, full card number) never touch or reside on Aurgo servers. We only store encrypted token representations returned by the payment gateway.

6. Data Retention Policies

To comply with regional tax regulations set by the Dirección General de Impuestos Internos (DGII), accounting transaction logs, ledger postings, and NCF assignments are securely stored for 7 years. GPS telemetry logs and route history maps are automatically purged or anonymized after 90 days. Non-active user support ticket archives are deleted after 2 years.

7. User Rights & Account Deletion

Under Law 172-13, users have ARCO rights (Access, Rectification, Cancellation, Opposition). You can view, correct, or request the deletion of your account directly from the settings panel or by executing the self-deletion RPC. Upon account deletion, all PII is permanently scrubbed, subject to legal fiscal retention rules. For inquiries, contact privacy@aurgo.app.
